Ryan Saavedra
CEO & Founder, Electrical Engineer
Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Alt-Bionics, Ryan holds a B.S. Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at San Antonio with a dual focus in Electromyographic Interfaces and Control Systems. Graduate from NSUIC's Startup Incubator Program. With over 4 years of research and participation in the artificial limbs space, Ryan will be helping to lead both technical and commercial efforts on the electrical engineering and prosthetic & orthotic clinic partnership front.
Samuel Woolfolk
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Lead Mechanical Engineer
Samuel Woolfolk has a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ACU in Albuquerque, NM. He has worked for ten years as a consultant doing troubleshooting, instrumentation, FEA, and design work for the Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive sectors. He enjoys hiking, hunting, and exploring his hometown of Alaska.
Judith Colon
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Chief Financial Officer, BA Economics from Trinity College, MBA Thunderbird School of Global Management, MA Columbia University, Harvard Business Analytics Graduate, 15 years’ experience in International banking and 15 years' experience operating Rehabilitation Centers for Trauma Victims. Judy will also co-lead clinic outreach efforts and manage all financial operations for the company. When she is not working, Judith enjoys boating, golf, travel and spending time with her family
Jackson Heinz
Product Design Engineer
Chief Mechanical Engineer, BS Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State, MS Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology with a focus in research of flexible/wearable electronics, 7 years' experience at Air Force Research Laboratory providing materials and manufacturing and structural analysis support to current and future aerospace platforms. Jackson will lead the product design, structural integrity, and aesthetic appeal efforts. In his free time, Jackson enjoys playing tennis and snowboarding with friends.
Eric Daley
Embedded Systems Engineer
Eric Daley, Lead Electrical Engineer, BS Electrical Engineering from Merrimack College and on-going pursuit of MS Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology with a concentration in Machine Learning and Computational Perception. Eric has 15 years’ experience in many industries ranging from Consumer Electronics to Medical Devices. Complex system designs include Surgical Robotic Devices and Machine Learning based wearable devices. Eric will lead all aspects of the Electronics and Firmware development.
Dr. Santiago Manrique-Bedoya
Parametric Design Engineer - Intern
Santiago is a Mechanical Design Engineering intern at Alt-Bionics. He received his BS, MS, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at UTSA, where he developed computational models to study different methods for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. In his spare time, Santiago enjoys reading and drawing.
Jimmi Nelson-Reid
Social Media & Marketing Manager - Intern
Serving as the Content Manager/Digital Marketing Specialist at Alt-Bionics, Jimmi Nelson-Reid plays a major role in marketing, content creation, and outreach. Through her commitment to this role, she has helped Alt-Bionics improve engagement, audience reach, and marketing strategy. She has a Bachelor’s with Honors in Sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, two years of classes in Public Relations and Theatre Performance from the University of Lynchburg, and is currently pursuing a digital marketing apprenticeship at Digital Creative Institute. Outside of work, Jimmi enjoys figure skating, musical theatre performance, and spending time with friends and family.
Alexander Sifuentes
Parametric Design Engineer - Intern
Alexander Sifuentes is a Mechanical Design Engineering intern at Alt-Bionics. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio. His area of focus lies in mechanical design and finite element analysis. In his spare time, Alex enjoys fitness and outdoor activities.
